About the role

We at Carbiz are looking for an ambitious and energetic People & Culture Advisor to help take our business to the next level! This role will take you across all parts of HR and the business from recruitment to policies, training, administration, performance and culture. This role will suite a HR professional who like us, is also looking to take their career to the next level!

This position will require you to use your excellent communication, time management skills and experience to work closely with the CEO and Senior Management team in addressing its human resource needs nationally. The role is based in Mascot, Sydney and is permanent part-time with hours to be determined for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment; work closely with our leaders to source and identify potential Carbiz superstars
  • Induction and onboarding; Carbizify our new superstars by building upon the existing onboarding program and making it awesome
  • Employee relations; provide best practice advice and guidance
  • Learning and development; our business is growing and we need our people to grow along with us
  • HR Admin; develop contracts of employment and administer our HRIS, Employment Hero
  • Continue to develop and implement our Employee Benefits Program and Policies
  • Review and develop WHS Compliance requirements
  • Payroll

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role covering a range of HR Generalist functions
  • Professional qualification in Human Resource Management or working towards
  • Knowledge of and experience in general employment law and HR best practice
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Experience working with start ups or rapidly growing business’ desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with software programs: Employment Hero and XERO Payroll
